If you have a DatePicker with a valid date in it, then type an invalid date, it will revert to the valid date.
If you have a DatePicker with no date in it (SelectedDate==null), then type an invalid date:
1. The SelectedDate remains null
2. The Text property continues to maintain the invalid date
My assumption is that the text should be cleared back to null to match what is actually stored in SelectedDate.

Is there any update on this issue ?
Extending a control in an already developed MVVM Silverlight application with large number of DatePickers already in use is really not a good option.
